This page is mostly satire. I just wanted to have some fun with emojis. If you’re interested in how I conduct my online sessions please take a look at my blog post: “Opinion: The Best Setup for Online Tutoring“.
As much we all ❤️ NYC, sometimes we just have to get away from it all. Especially these days. Grab your bags 🎒👜 and dipset ✈️ 🏝 my peeps.
Hunker ⬇️ without worry!
Before, families 👨👩👦 had to choose between escaping the city and their tutoring. Now, they barely even have a choice! 🙃 Feel free to go on trips, vacations, or even isolate yourselves without having to take a break from the tutoring.
The more you isolate yourself the more you will long for our sessions to get your dose of Socializing with Simon™ 😊
As Americans 🏈, we must adapt 🦋and capitalize 💸!! 😤
In addition to making sure we constantly sanitize 🧼, we must capitalize on this situation as much as possible regardless of how bad 〽️ it may seem. In our case, I’m referring to test prep. 😀
Personally, I’ll be doing my part by advertising my online sessions. This is a niche I’m relatively well prepared to fill ✔️.
Now, you might be wondering how you’re going to capitalize on this situation. Well, hold up. While your friends and their children are panicking 🙀 about the situation you can have your child 🧒 get the edge on them by having them continue their test prep. 🤫 In fact, you should be doubling ⬇️ now that they have more ⏱️ in their hands.
When schools 🏫 and exams resume some people will be more prepared than others. The people that are currently panicking will likely be worse off. There’s nothing you can do about that so you might as well make the best of your own situation.
Don’t let the extra time go to waste. Squeeze in more prep for your child 🧒. Right now, everything is self-paced and students have more time in their days. Fill in the gaps and let me assign them more prep work. Schedule a Simon Online Session™ (🆘™ for short) today! 🤓
Students and clients should try to capitalize on this situation by prepping harder in order to widen the gap between them and the people who cannot attend a tutoring center, those who do not have access 😔, and those who do not have the foresight to plan.😔
How to get ahead with online tutoring

Some of your friends are probably getting Zoom tutoring. Good luck to them!🤞 I, on the other hand, an intellectual, who went out at 3 am 2.75 years ago and bought the 2nd Gen iPad Pro on release day, am much better equipped, informed, and prepared.😎 Not because I have an iPad, but rather because I know how to properly use technology. ⬅️ 🧠 ego
I like to think I know more about online tutoring than your average bear 🐻 so please allow me to “Explain Everything.” First, go to the App Store and download the Explain Everything Whiteboard App. It allows us to use our iPads (or Android Tablets🤷♂️) as real-time collaborative whiteboards. I can see what students write ✍️ and they can see what I write ✍️ all in real-time. That and a voice app like FaceTime is pretty much all we need for a productive online tutoring session.

Ok, but what if I don’t have internet 🌐? 😱
No biggie. All I need to know is which questions you’re having trouble with. Just schedule a session and call me on your rotary dial or tel-e-phone ☎️. Depending on how much we’ve already worked together a few pointers and some hints could be just enough to get your child moving along. That’s pretty much what tutoring is anyway. Although this may sound like a joke 😜, I’m being fairly serious. Of course, a proper online session is definitely better but sometimes we have to make do with what we have. So if you foresee yourself without internet make sure you have my number saved.👌
This is definitely the future.
The last few weeks have been great in regards to the transition to online sessions. I will most likely stick to online sessions for the foreseeable future- perhaps even after all the social distancing.
Oddly enough, online sessions have been more productive than in-person sessions. I think 🤔 it’s because I’ve been asking students to send me the questions they’d like to go over before we start our sessions. This probably gets us into gear right from the start. I’m still figuring out new ways to make our online sessions even better. Right now, I’m experimenting with recording our sessions. All the additional tools in an online environment can potentially make online tutoring a much better experience than in-person sessions.
